Project 365 Day 102 'Austin PA Dam Disaster of 1911'

Today I had the opportunity to travel through this area again. It has been a few years as we travelled this route on our way to the yearly Abate Biker Party Weekend. Here is what remains of the Dam 100 years later.


Here is the Memorial sign


Down the Valley is the remains of the Bayless Pulp & Paper Company, hard to believe it survived the 1911 Dam break and continued to operate until 1944.
